Jacked at 600 m.p.h.

After listening to Jack Johnson for the past nine days, I became inspired to try to write my own "Jack" song (sorry, Jack)! Here is what I came up with on the plane ride home. I've got the ukulele. Anyone got a voice?

Who Needs Time

The sunrise sets high in the sky
Keeping track of time
For you and I
But who needs time when you've got a lifetime
Yeah, who needs time when you've got a lifetime

Dreaming between the waves
We wave off our dreams for now
Because the present is so much better
You know, it's so much better when you're present
Yeah, it's always better when you're present

The sun is high in the sky
Keeping track of you and I
We've lost all sense of time
Yeah, this time we've lost all sense
But who needs sense when you've got a lifetime
Yeah, who needs sense when you've got a lifetime

A lifetime without time, a lifetime with no time
Wouldn't that make sense
Doesn't that make sense
Yeah, sense, sometimes it takes a lifetime

Now the day is getting low
We got no special place to go
Let's go and make it special
We've got a lifetime to make it special
Oh, we've got a lifetime to make it special

Won't ya come and make it special
If ya came, it'd be so special

Dreaming between the waves
We wave off our dreams for now
Rolling out to sea
A lifetime, you and me
A lifetime,
you and me
Who needs time
